Classic Rock with horns! You know the songs as soon as they start. Pieces of Eight
featuring the Lakeside Brass delivers a musical can of beer that goes great with a
crowd that was raised on Rock & Roll. Fast forward to today and 2019 marks an
epic career spanning 40 years of the band performing authentic Rock & Roll in the
Cleveland area.

Over four decades, Pieces of Eight has performed at a majority of Cleveland's
favorite night clubs, for students on spring break in Daytona Beach, Florida, at
many community sponsored events, festivals, concerts, and for thousands of high
school and college students at many different functions. The band performed a
record 24 consecutive summers at the Boathouse in the resort town of Put-In-Bay,
Ohio.

Pieces of Eight first performed at Wickliffe High School in 1979 as a Blues Brothers
tribute band. The following year, the band made its public debut at the Flipside, a
small bar located in South Euclid, Ohio. Several band members were still in high
school at the time. Throughout the years, the band has performed more than 350
different songs. In February, 2019, the band celebrated their 40 year anniversary
at a fundraiser that generated over $23,000 for several charities.

The group brings years of experience to the stage. Eight veteran musicians with a
dynamic horn section highlights the rest of the lineup of guitars, keyboards and
drums. The band members includes guitarists Kurt Kendig and Ken Cali, keyboardist
Pat Rehmer, drummer Joe Blatnik, bassist Joe Lazar, and horn players Dan Hannan
on trombone, Al Widmer on trumpet, and Gary Motta on tenor saxophone.  For
good measure, Mike Winfield will sit in on bari sax every once in a while.
